Research Summary
When conducting user research for ProTailor App, I made sure to keep my ideal end-users front and center with a combination of quantitative and qualitative research techniques. I followed modern UX research standards that empathize with the needs of my end-users to discover common problems areas for professional tailor's when conducting business with the public. Feedback from my research helped me to challenge my own false consensus bias as a tailor myself and enlightened the greater possibility for solutions to support this unique professional demographic. After successfully defining the topmost pressing pain points for professional tailors from user interviews and surveys, the ideation phase established effective design solutions that allow users to connect with and maintain business relationships effectively. Both apps were designed from research gained from professional tailors.
"Empathizing helps designers to look deeper into situations in a way that helps them to think and create solutions for problems." Source

User Journey Map
My goal when developing the user journey map from our tailor user's point of view was to empathize more fully with their professional experience with public clients in order to define a happy path from the beginning to the end of our user's journey. By recognizing opportunities along the user's journey I was successful at identifying areas for increased accessibility, easy-to-understand navigation, and effective functionality.
